Full biography

Seneliso Nkonyeni is the Founder and Managing Director of the Nkonyeni Foundation and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Deaf Care Healthcare Initiative SA NPC. Born and bred in Port Shepstone, he has lived and worked across KwaZulu-Natal in Port Shepstone, Durban, and Pietermaritzburg, giving him deep insight into community needs across diverse settings. He studied at the University of Zululand and built his career in strategic and operational roles at the University of Zululand, Mangosuthu University of Technology, Varsity College, and the Department of Employment and Labour.

With expertise in Information Science, Communication Science, strategic leadership, language, and data management, Seneliso is recognized as a language expert and data management specialist who translates policy into practical, accountable systems. His work focuses on closing communication gaps and designing solutions that improve access, dignity, and service delivery, particularly for Deaf communities through Deaf Care Healthcare Initiative. Beyond his professional leadership, Seneliso is a devoted father and husband, and those values of responsibility and care guide how he serves organizations, communities, and partners every day.
